The 1947 Phil Campbell Bobcat Basketball Team and State Champions

The 1947 Phil Campbell Bobcat basketball team was the last team to win the Alabama state championship when all teams competed in the same classification.  The next season schools were split into two classification.  Of course, now there are six classifications.  The Bobcats defeated Scottsboro for the state championship.  There will be more information about this team by next school year.  Next basketball season will be the 60th Anniversary of the state championship for this team.   Stay Tuned.......
